It's a hotel and cafe.

Ashley eventually got another job at a local Marriott hotel, but was laid off in September 2025.

The airline has two options: one to check you into hotel overlooking the terminal, or maybe organize a Turkish tea-making workshop.

That night in the hotel, as we tried to act as normal as possible towards the kids, my then-three-year-old daughter looked up and said, "I want to go home."

I was only given enough information to make it another day: where my next hotel would be, where my next appointment would be.

And surprisingly, there were micro-moments of joy, like unexpectedly bumping into old friends in the hotel that we evacuated to.

And to go with all these notebooks that I have to find a purpose for, I have all these pens that I steal from one very specific hotel whenever I go because it's my favorite.
