And so the book is kind of about what if I didn't have to commit, you know, to this job, to this partner, to this life, even to this self.

And so I knew that, basically, I was asking this kind of ensemble of largely comedic actors, I was like, we're just going to commit to this, and tonally, we'll let the chips fall where they may.

But if this country is going to stay whole, is going to thrive, is going to be an inspiration for future generations, we have to be willing to commit to make those same brave leaps of democratic imagination.
