It's like how our grandparents grew their own crops to support the troops during World War II, except our version of this is power washing the toilet with our butthole.

You see, both of my parents are architects, both of my grandparents were notable artists, so I grew up in a household surrounded by conversations about art, culture and space.

To the grandparent sitting with them, everything is close to supernatural: the tiny fingers, the small plump body, their child who is now a parent loading up the car, the sound of a House Finch somewhere in a tree.

I love the way I can transform a simple piece of paper into almost anything -- like a wheel bug, my grandparents or even a neuron cell.
